- differentiaal-diagnostisch onderzoek in bredere zin
I offer (online) psychodiagnostics supervision and psychotherapy supervision for master’s-level psychologists, psychologists in training for their Dutch psychologist license (GZ-psychologists), psychotherapists, and psychiatrists.
Supervision in psychodiagnostics focuses on:
- intelligence testing with a special focus on intellectual giftedness
- personality assessment (from normality to abnormality, both classificatory, structural, and according to AMPD model)
- focus on temperament/character, attachment style, maladaptive schemas and modes, personality structure, personality features, coping styles and symptom-level distress
- assessment of neurodivergence: including autism spectrum- and ADHD-assessment
- assessment of mood disorders, anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, trauma- and stressor-related disorders, somatic symptom disorders, dissociative disorders, and other relevant clinical conditions.
- broader differential diagnostic evaluations
I pay particular attention to contextual psychodiagnostics for migrants, ethnic minorities, and sexual minorities — including migration processes, cultural dimensions, historical trauma, and sexual minority stress. Supervision in psychodiagnostics therefore consistently integrates biological, psychological, social, and cultural dimensions.
Supervision in psychotherapy focuses on psychodynamic psychotherapy, schema therapy, transcultural psychotherapy, and LGBT+ sensitive psychotherapy. Within supervision, attention is given to the therapeutic relationship and the therapeutic process, with particular attention to personality styles, personality structure, personality pathology, and attachment styles.
Supervision may address case formulation, treatment indication, the formulation and monitoring of treatment goals, therapeutic interventions, transference and countertransference, treatment impasses, and the management of complex interactional patterns within the therapeutic relationship.
Attention is also given to the broader context in which psychological difficulties and personality functioning develop and acquire meaning. Cultural background, migration, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, neurodivergence, minority stress, and other social and societal factors may, where relevant to treatment, be explicitly integrated into supervision.
Supervision may focus either on a longer-term treatment trajectory or on short-term consultation regarding a specific case, diagnostic question, treatment impasse, or therapeutic dilemma.
